Have you got your .co domain yet?

On July 20th, .CO domain was officially launched and Google also approves it as an international domain name.
“We will rank .co domains appropriately if the content is globally targeted. Webmasters will soon have the functionality to be able to specify this by using the geotargeting options in Google Webmaster Tools,” said a Google spokesperson, as quoted in PC Pro in a July 22nd article.
What does it mean? Well, it’s pretty much like what I said in my previous post “Is Domain Extension .CO Bad for SEO?“. If you own a .CO domain, there is no significant difference with owning a .COM domain.
I pre-ordered 7 .CO domains through GoDaddy and I got 5 of them. Awww, the two that I didn’t get was my favorite ones. I still don’t know what to do with them yet, but I am pretty sure they will look good in my domain collections.
Right now Rockia is on vacation in mainland China; I saw lots of Chinese webmasters or domain sellers got tons of .CO domains. I don’t know what they stock up the domains for; maybe for reselling, maybe for traffic, I don’t know. Right now I forward my .CO domains to Google Adsense for Domains, which is not accessible in mainland China.
