Phone Disk — Mount Your iPhone as a Disk on Mac

Rather saying iPhone is good for multimedia and entertainment, I solely use it as PDA, email and internet browsing device, and of course my phone (duh!).  Right now at the moment of writing this post, my 16GB iPhone 3GS has 186 song, 17 videos and 8290 photos, yet, I still have more than half of the space available.

What am I gonna do with them? Well, I can use it as my USB flash drive, an very expensive USB flash drive.

In Macintosh, if you plug your iPod, iPhone or iPad on, iTunes will be loaded by default and you won’t be able to see any options for you to drop files onto your iPhone. Then you need a small utility to make the “hidden” drive visible again.

–What does Phone Disk do?

Mount an iPad, iTouch or iPhone to USB disk mode on a Mac. Phone Disk is a tiny program which runs in the system tray of your Mac. When it finds an iPod Touch or iPhone it seamlessly mounts it to your file system so you can directly access files on it using Finder or any other program.

–How to use it?

Once you installed the program and launch it, you should be able to see the icon appears in the top menu bar.  As shown in the picture, you could reveal the device in Finder and Mount/Unmount the device.

And then just drag and drop the files into your target “disk”

This software works with Jailbroken devices too (of course).
