Dock Library — Style your dock on Leopard or Snow Leopard

Dock is one of the main features that was added into Mac OS X; you can put your application shortcuts there and launch your applications much easier than going through your application list or spotlight. With the add-on of Stack and Dock Exposé, the 3D dock on Leopard is just more practical while it looks much better; you just won’t go wrong with it on Mac OS X.
However, ever since the 3D effect, the dock hasn’t been changed much. I have already wrote a couple posts on how to replace your icon sets on Mac OS X. For a special you, your Mac OS should deserve a different looking dock. What I am going to introduce to you is the software called Dock Library.
First, you will need to download the software from the official site. There is originally no themes came with this software, you will need to download the themes from LeopardDocks.com or LeopardDocks.net.
Second, when you got your style pack in .zip file format, you don’t need to unzip it. Just launch your Dock Library and click “File”–> “Import to Library” (Or Click on the “Import” icon on the top left corner) and select the .zip file you just downloaded. No you should be able to see your application windows like this:
What you need to do is just highlight your theme and then click “Activate” on the top left corner. And you are done. Dock Library has the system’s default dock style backed up; whenever you need to go back, just choose the “Default dock” and activate it again.
Just a note that the software works on both Leopard and Snow Leoaprd.
Billions of thanks go to Dock Library’s developers at Dative Studio who made all these true.
